Crisp air, falling leaves, sweaters, and pumpkins everywhere…it’s the perfect time of year!
That also means it’s the perfect opportunity for you and your boo to go out (or stay in) and enjoy some quality time together.

Since getting married, I have enjoyed dating my husband more than when we were actually dating. It is our time to unwind from the week, we take turns picking what we are going to do, and there is always dessert involved (and it’s time specifically set aside for one another, no distractions)!
Now that it is Fall, I am even more excited for date nights because I have so many ideas of how we will spend our Friday nights and weekends! That is what I want to share with you, so here is a list of 10 date night plans for you and your boo to keep the magic and {pumpkin} spice alive…
1. Carve or Paint Pumpkins
Carving and painting pumpkins is what I look forward to most when Fall rolls around! It is something where the entire family can get involved, or if it’s just you and your spouse, you can make it a competition (and compete for bragging rights or who gets to choose next date night) or work on them together!
If you or your spouse aren’t too fond of pumpkin decorating, make a compromise and decorate pumpkins for a little bit and do something they want to do! Its a win-win, and you still get your pumpkin fill.
Here’s some pumpkin decorating ideas to get you started.
2. Halloween Movie Marathons
Who doesn’t love a good movie marathon?
We are huge movie watchers in our house and love a good movie marathon to end the week, and in the Fall that means everything Halloween (mostly Hocus Pocus)!
Grab your boo, your fav snacks, get comfy and cuddle up under a blanket and watch however many your hearts desire!
Want to make it even more memorable? Set up a spot outside and project the movie onto a screen or on a plain side of your home/garage and make your own drive-in movie!

3. Go to a Pumpkin Patch
Picking your own pumpkins is always so fun, and they are always very unique! This makes your Fall decor 10x better and it doubles as a super fun date night.
You can even make a scavenger hunt out of it to see who can find the most perfect pumpkin, biggest, smallest, ugliest, and unique!
Don’t forget to take some home with you and then next date night you can decorate them together!
4. Have a Picnic
Nothing pairs better than a Fall afternoon and a picnic.
This is such an easy and affordable date night that can be thrown together in an afternoon. Pack your fav snacks, a few drink options, a blanket, and voila! Date night in a basket. Pick a spot and enjoy; it’s even better if you can find somewhere with a view!
Don’t forget to turn off your phones and relish the quality time together.
5. Apple Picking
I have always wanted to go apple picking- the thought of fresh apples makes me so happy and gives me all the Fall vibes!
Spend an afternoon picking different kinds of apples, bring them home, and next date night make your own Apple Cider to share!
6. DIY Apple Cider + Snacks
Making your own apple cider is one of the {sweetest} parts about Fall! With just a few ingredients (and your freshly picked apples), you can have a sweet drink for you and your boo to share!
Check out this recipe from Delish for an easy Homemade Apple Cider Recipe.
7. S’mores Bar
S’mores are a snack that are good year round, but especially in the Fall and Winter!
There are so many ways you can enjoy this treat, and for around $10 you can have a perfect dessert treat to end date night!
Don’t have a way to make a fire? You can make a S’mores dip in the oven super quick!
8. Hay Ride + Corn Maze
This has to be the most Fall-ish thing in the world, but that’s exactly why it’s on the list! Going on a hay ride and strolling through a corn maze brings back so many memories for me, and it’s something that I can’t wait for our kids to do in the future, but right now it is perfect for a pair of Fall-loving people needing a night out!
Find your local Harvest or Fall Festival and do allll the things Fall, especially a Hay Ride and Corn Maze. Don’t forget to bring a blanket!
9. Go To a Local Farmer’s Market
Farmer’s Markets are the perfect Saturday stroll, but during the Fall there are so many new options for fresh veggies and treats! Take some time to support local businesses and enjoy trying new things!
Gather some new produce to try and come home and make a meal with all of the new ingredients! You might find a new recipe that you can make a Fall date night tradition.
10. Have a Bonfire and Stargaze
Bonfires and S’mores are the perfect pair, and sitting by your love cuddled up on a cool night is even better! Make a bonfire for you two and enjoy a night under the stars with a sweet treat.
If you can’t make a bonfire, light some candles and still enjoy a night out OR if you have a fireplace light a fire and after you stargaze cuddle up and watch a movie!
I hope that you enjoy every moment of this perfect season with your love, and that you make the most of every opportunity to grow together, learn more about each other, and devote 1-on-1 time to making each other feel special.
Happily Ever After,
