Spring has finally sprung and that means all the pastel, carrots, and the latest DIY bunny garland tutorial I am sharing with you today🐰
This year, we are decorating for Spring with everything bunnies and carrots! I usually don’t do anything big for this time of year, but with us decorating our tree year-round (check out our Valentine’s Day tree below) I couldn’t help myself with adding more around the house! To take it a step further, I have challenged myself to decorate on a budget and DIY everything I could. I lucked out because the Target dollar section was ROCKING this year and I bought pretty much everything they released and added some cute DIY crafts.

Our Valentine’s Day tree this year♥️
To up my garland game this year, I wanted to try my hand at a Bunny PomPom Garland! I have been OBSESSED with yarn for a while and love making PomPom’s so it was only fitting to try and make a Spring garland that fit our decor.
I am going to walk you through exactly how I bunny-fied my go-to DIY garland for less than $5!!! Be sure to check out my Yarn PomPom tutorial if you don’t know how to make them already✨
Supplies you need:
- Yarn – I linked the exact kind I get from Walmart, which is super affordable and it comes in large quantities! You’ll only need 1 skien unless you want to do multiple colors.
- Felt Squares – Hobby Lobby has felt squares for .33 cents, and if you can snag them during a sale its an even better deal!
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue
Follow these steps to make your Bunny Garland:
- Make 6-12 Yarn PomPoms in a color of your choice. I used white for obvious bunny reasons😉🐰I plan to make 2 garlands with 6 PomPom bunnies on each. If you don’t know how to make yarn PomPoms, I made a tutorial for you here!
- Measure out how long you want your garland to be and cut a piece of yarn to that length. In this step, determine how close you want the bunnies to be as well. If you are making two garlands, measure out two pieces of yarn the same length so they are the same.
- Once you have your long pieces of yarn, its time to start making your bunnies!
For each bunny, you need: 2 ears, a nose, and a PomPom. You can also add eyes if you want, I loved how they looked with just the ears and nose so I didn’t do that extra step.
Cut the shape of the ear out of your pink felt and then cut the same shape but a little larger out of white felt.
Glue your pink and white felt together at the bottom, this ensures that you can fold it later on. Pink felt should be on top of the white.
Once your felt is glued together, place a line of glue on the bottom of the pink felt and fold together…this gives it the ear look. Repeat on the second ear.
Cut your nose out of pink felt. I did a triangle but a heart would be super cute too💕Now that your nose and ears are made, start to glue them on your PomPom.
Once all pieces are glued, trim your PomPom to the shape you want it. Once the PomPom is trimmed, your bunny is DONE🐰Now, you can tie it on your garland string!
I hope you love your Spring Garland DIY project just as much as I do🐰💕
Happy Spring, Friends!
