Look no further for the yummiest Kiwi Margarita Recipe, you have found THE one!
This past weekend, I was looking for a refreshing drink to enjoy before another crazy week ensued😋 Luckily I had a few kiwis and limes that were begging to be made into a margarita, so I felt like this drink was obviously meant to be.
I searched for recipes online but couldn’t find one that sounded good, so I came up with my own concoction and it was yummier than I could have ever imagined. My husband, who hates kiwis with a passion, finished his before I even sat down to enjoy mine…so that’s how you know its a winner!
Margaritas are the best drink, hands-down. They are so versatile and easy to make; you can drink them frozen (my fav), on the rocks, and even with fresh fruit! This margarita specifically is made with fresh fruit and fruit juice, which gives it an extra sweet kick.
Here is what you will need to make your Kiwi Margarita:
{1 Serving}
- 1 Kiwi
- 1 Lime
- 1-2 oz of Tequila
- 2-3 oz of Sprite, Lemon-Lime soda, or Sparkling Water
- Optional: 1 oz of Orange Juice (it’s a great addition)
- Garnish: Kiwi Slice
- Equipment: Jigger, Cocktail Shaker, Ice
Note: If you want to make this drink non-alcoholic, omit the tequila and use more sprite or sparkling water
Follow these steps:
- Remove skin from Kiwi and cut into chunks
- Place chunks into shaker and smash/grind them up, you should have some kiwi chunks left and the bottom of your shaker should be covered in juice
- Cut lime in half and squeeze both sides on top of Kiwi in your cup
- Add in your Tequila, Sprite, and Orange Juice with ice
- Shake
- Pour into your cup and garnish!
