Madison has been hounding me to write up this piece for a long time now, and I think that it is one that will be useful for just about anyone. It’s been a hit on Instagram, so it’s about time for it to have a permanent place on the blog!
Calling all pizza lovers: This is a quick and easy recipe for a HOMEMADE pizza dough that ANYONE can make!
The ingredients needed are:
- 2 cups of All-purpose flour
- ¾ cup of water
- (About) 2 tablespoons of Olive oil, plus some for the pan
- 1 teaspoon of- salt, Active dry Yeast, garlic, sugar
That’s all you will Kneed 😉 (Did you get the dad joke…..?)
Step 1- Add the flour, salt, yeast, garlic and sugar to a mixing bowl. If you have a stand mixer, you can use it! If you don’t, a regular bowl and your hands will work just fine!
Step 2- With the mixer on STIR, slowly stream in the water to combine with the AP Flour. If you are using your hands/other utensils, use the same process! This will leave your dough not really looking all doughy, but be patient!
Step 3- Now is the time to put in your olive oil SLOWLY! I put 2 tablespoons in the recipe, but use as much as needed to make the dough combine together. If it isn’t there yet, wait about 30 seconds of mixing before adding more olive oil! Your dough should be able to hold it’s shape (As a ball) by itself, and should barely stick to your fingers.
Step 4 – Knead the dough for around 5 minutes! A simple way to do this is to place the dough on a CLEAN counter, and push the palm of your hand into the dough and pulling the dough back. Do this with both hands for about 5 minutes! There are many ways to do this, so find one that works for you (I linked a tutorial below for you)!!!

Step 5- Now place the dough into an oiled bowl (Any bowl with olive oil covering the bottom and sides) and let it rise for and hour and a half! Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel.
Step 6- After the first rise, take the dough and split it into 2 smaller balls. In two separate oven-safe pans, put enough olive oil in to cover the bottom of the pan. Place the dough balls in the pans and stretch them out as far as you can to the edge of the pan. Place a covering over both pans, and let them rest for 30 minutes.
Step 7- Turn your oven on broil. Place the pans on the stove, and cook the pizza within the pans until the bottom is crispy and golden brown. After they are crispy to your liking, top the pizza with your favorite toppings!
Step 8- Put the pans in the oven, and take them out when the cheese is melted to your desire! Take the pizza out of the pan, and you are done!
Once you get the hang of this recipe, it will become a staple in your household!! I hope you enjoy it!
Okay, Byeee!
