Brownies are a favorite dessert in the Woodhouse fam so it was about time that there was a Fall-themed recipe.
Brownies are one of those universal desserts that are good with any flavor chocolate, any addition (think chocolate chips and pecans), a scoop of ice cream, or just by themselves.
I try to make brownies once a month (sometimes more) because I would rather homemake a dessert than buy it, and with homemade recipes there’s a little bit of extra love added in so that always makes them yummier! And because these are gluten-free, I get to enjoy them too.

Pumpkin brownies are the perfect mix, it truly is like Fall in your mouth.
Here is what you will need to make gluten-free pumpkin brownies:
- 3/4 Cup of Gluten-Free Flour (If you don’t want to make them gluten-free, swap out for all-purpose)
- 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3/4 cup of Butter (use ghee if dairy-free)
- 1 1/2 cups of Sugar
- 2 tsp of Pure Vanilla Extract
- 3 Eggs
- 1/4 cup of Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 cup of Chocolate Chips/Chunks (use cacao chips if dairy-free)
- 1/2 cup of Pumpkin Puree
- 3/4 tsp of Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp of Cloves
- 1/2 tsp of Nutmeg
Supplies:
- 2 Mixing Bowls
- Measuring Spoons (these are my fav)
- 8×8 Pan
How to make your very own gluten-free pumpkin brownies:
- Preheat oven to 350*
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs
- Once combined, split evenly into two bowls.
- In one bowl, add cocoa powder and chocolate chips to batter
- In the other bowl, combine pumpkin puree, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg to batter
- In your baking pan, layer 3/4 of the chocolate batter on the bottom
- Then, on top of the chocolate, add 3/4 of the pumpkin batter
- Use the remaining batter to dollop on top and use a knife to create a swirl effect
- Once swirled, bake for 45-55 minutes, or until there is no jiggle. Once you insert a utensil and it comes out clean, the brownies are ready!
These brownies are pure Fall heaven and I hope you enjoy all of the pumpkin-y chocolaty goodness! I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t get eaten all in one sitting ๐
